Taverna Delina
Vassilis Skoulas, the host of Delina Hotel, in 1995 opened a taverna where the hotel is today. It has 600 chairs and nowadays serves as the hotel's restaurant as well.
For baptism and wedding parties, additional tables and chairs are prepared on the floodlit outdoor terrace. They talk about a party which had 3,500 guests: That is significantly more than the entire population of Anoghia. |

During wintertime, three open fireplaces provide a cosy atmosphere, and with a little luck one can pick one of the nights when the host plays his Lyra in his taverna.
The walls are decorated with paintings by Vassilis' father, the world famous painter Alkibiades Skoulas. Some of his sculptures are on display as well.
Many more works are presented at the family's private museum in Anoghia. |

The cusine's specialty is Cretan pasta with sour cheese, and a kind of tortellini with Misithra, which is fresh cheese from sour sheep milk. There is however a sweet variation as well (with honey).
However Taverna Delina is most famous for excellent meat dishes.
They use only sheep and goat from their own production, and the lamb spit is popular even among those who normally prefer pork or beef. |

A kafenion beside the look-out platform completes the Delina Hotel's catering facilities. |
