Location
At about 750 meters above sea level,  Anoghia is one of the highest mountain villages in Crete.
The Delina Hotel is some 3 kms south of the village and therefore even higher: The look-out platform is at exactly 910 meters.
To the highest summit of the Ida Mountains, however another 1,546 meters are missing (in vertical direction).

The district capital of Rethymnon is 48 kms west of Anoghia. The road eastward to Iraklion (31 kms from Anoghia) is particularly scenic.
Iraklion airport is 37 kms from the hotel, Hania airport 125 kms.
Because of the winding character of Cretan mountain roads as well as of the National Road along the coast, transfer times from and to the airports must not be underestimated.
